WORKING WITH COLORS.

Color mode = color space = color model

•All colors that can be seen by the human eye are called the visible spectrum

•The range of colors that can be produced by a process or device is called the gamut.

Panton Color: this are colors use in real world while

RGB & CMYK: are mostly use for digital image or computers.

When the values of the color are been added it refer to  as ADDITIVE.

Example; when all the values are zero, this gives you Black.

Cmyk are mostly use for printing.

Index Color: This serves only for reference. 

it reduces the files size while speeding up display refresh.

Index color, Grayscale (8bit), Bitmap (1bit)

The UNDO Command can undo up to 1000 step maximum, its main purpose is to correct a mistake

You can undo multiple commands using the History palette.

The History palette lists recently executed commands with the recent command at the end.

Midterm tips: painting tools works only on pixel meaning (bitmap and rasttle tools)

ERASER TOOL

The normal Eraser tool, paints in two ways

 Background layer –  this paints with the background color

 Normal layer –  this erases all data by making that area transparent.

The Magic Eraser: this erases pixels of the same color of the area that was clicked

The Background Eraser: this tool deletes the background pixels of a layer

The size and shape of the eraser is controlled by the Brush preset settings.

the hardness and diameter controls the pressure of the brush .

when re sizing hold down the shift key.
