how to define layers (a layer is transparent)

DEFINITION: This are any individual image background that can be stack on one another.

Five Different Types of Layers:

  • Type layer (this contains text element)
  • Normal layer (normal layers are always added on-top of the current layers)
  • Adjustment layer ( They are always ontop. this can be use to modify and image without altering the original image)
  • Mask layer ( Thy are always below. protect areas of a layer and it can enable you do reflection
  • Shape layer ( this contains vector shape)
Important of Layers:

  • To create complex project
  • Correct colors
  • Add special effect
  • Repair photos and
  • Create composite images.
We learnt about how the content of a layer can be controlled.

  • By changing the opacity
  • Changing the stacking other
  • Changing the blending mode;
Meaning of Merging: This means combing of several image or combination of two or more images for the purpose reducing.
Flattening:This merge all your layers in one background image. reasoning: for printing
Linking layers: This help in moving objects together as a unit but only when the layers are more.
